The Global Health Security Agenda (GHSA) has prioritized for support the countries in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA to improve their implementation of the World Health Organization’s (WHO) International Health Regulations (IHR) so that countries in the region are better prepared for future disease outbreaks.

CHISU will support the establishment of a MENA integrated disease surveillance and response system that generates data to guide policy and improve resource allocation, service delivery, and systems performance. By helping to prioritize activities related to coordinating regional disease monitoring efforts and increasing access to the datasets that provide a holistic picture of each country and the MENA region, CHISU will strengthen the use of data for action and analysis.
