The Global Health Security Agenda has prioritized countries in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) to improve their implementation of the World Health Organization’s International Health Regulations, so that the region is better prepared for future disease outbreaks.

CHISU supported the establishment of a MENA integrated disease surveillance and response system that generates data to guide policy and improve resource allocation, service delivery, and systems performance.
