The COVID-19 pandemic has been a sobering demonstration of the critical importance of global health security to prevent emerging pathogens from becoming major health threats around the globe. The One Health approach acknowledges and addresses the linkages between animal health, human health and the environment. CHISU helps countries build resilient health information systems (HIS) for shared multi-sectoral data to prevent, detect, and respond to zoonotic and emerging infectious disease threats—wherever they happen in the world.
